Belize City, Belize, March 1, 2024: In a momentous event that signifies an important step towards cultural preservation and community development, the groundbreaking ceremony for the San Jose Succotz Multipurpose Center took place today, Friday, March 1st. This transformative project, funded by the Belize Tourism Board (BTB) in partnership with Hon. The visionary project includes a dedicated playing ground for children, meticulously landscaped areas, a dynamic display/exhibit zone, stage, interconnected walkways, and outdoor seating. A striking pergola will elegantly connect the Multipurpose Center to the adjacent Catholic church, blending architectural elegance with historical significance.
