BELIZE CITY, Belize, Monday, 22 April, 2024: The Belize Tourism Board (BTB) is pleased to announce the success of the Belize Earth Day: A Creatively Green Pop-Up event, which took place at Memorial Park in Belize City on Saturday, April 20th. In collaboration with the Belize City Council, the event featured over 50 local vendors offering environmentally conscious products and services. From eco-friendly goods to innovative zero-waste initiatives, attendees had the chance to explore and support initiatives that promote sustainability. The event also included live performances by Hubee, Brithney Starr, and YasThalia.
A highlight of the event was the vendor booth competition, showcasing the creativity and innovation of local artisans while also serving as a platform to educate and inspire others to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle. We extend our congratulations to the competition winners:
- Most Educational Booth – Zero Belize
- Most Interactive Booth – Reyes Organic Beauty
- Most Creative Use of Local Materials – iKOOMA
- Best Zero Waste Initiative – Zero Belize
- People’s Choice – 1st Place: Don Ceviche, 2nd Place: The Cakery by Ali, and 3rd Place – America’s Finest Imports Ltd.
The BTB also expresses our gratitude to vendors and industry partners for their generosity by providing prizes for our raffle giveaways and vendor competition. Their support played a crucial role in making the event a memorable and impactful experience for all attendees.
