BTB Recognizes 2 Frontline Heroes for December – Meet Nurse Donaldine Lizama
 
Nurse Donaldine Lizama is the Nursing Supervisor for the Central Health Region and the head of the Ministry of Health’s vaccination program.
 
Nurse Lizama she has dedicated her life to nursing as a public health nurse from 1999 and has worked at the KHMH, and both the Northern and Central Regions. In her current role, she coordinates all outreach for the ministry’s vaccine drive, working with the private and public sectors to carry out onsite vaccination for their staff. She also spearheads the health education for all nurses. Nurse Lizama often dedicates long hours and nights to ensure the accuracy of the daily Covid-19 reports.
 
She has been awarded a staycation package for two that includes a two-night stay courtesy of Chabil Mar Belize Resort, round-trip tickets courtesy of Tropic Air Belize, a snorkeling tour for 2 courtesy Splash Dive Center and dinner for 2 at Maya Beach Hotel Bistro and $2,500 cash complements of the Belize Tourism Board.
