Dr. Natalia Beer is the Technical Advisor of the Maternal and Child Health Unit at the Ministry of Health & Wellness since 2003. She has been instrumental in Belize’s fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, serving at the forefront of the procurement and delivery of Covid-19 vaccines. Her tireless dedication to public health has meant always working long and extended hours to ensure the country’s effective response to the pandemic.
“To be able to contribute to the well-being of the population we serve” is the drive that allows Dr. Beer to carry out her duties with selflessness, passion, and high professionalism, constantly going above and beyond her normal duties. “Being a recipient of the BTB Front line Hero Award is an honor, and it motivates me to greater commitment and dedication to continue contributing to the fight against COVID-19”, Dr. Beer shared upon receiving the award. The Covid-19 vaccination campaign is being implemented by the Maternal and Child Health Unit in collaboration with other units within the Ministry, key external partners, and the local teams.
The BTB congratulates Dr. Beer for her recognition as our Frontline Hero and thanks her for her unwavering commitment to serving Belize. She has been awarded a staycation package for two that includes a two-night stay courtesy of the San Ignacio Resort Hotel, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, an onsite tour, and a massage for two courtesy of the Belize Tourism Board.
