Belize City, Belize, December 11, 2023 — Belize continues to captivate travelers with its allure, drawing visitors from near and far, and offering a diverse range of experiences for all to enjoy. This is evidenced by the continued surge in airlift service from North and Central America to Belize.
On December 6, 2023, JetBlue Airlines introduced the first-ever nonstop service between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Belize’s Phillip S.W. Goldson International Airport (BZE). JetBlue will operate year-round roundtrip flights three times a week – Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
American Airlines has increased its airlift service. Service to Charlotte is now daily and two flights from Dallas are now operating on Saturdays. Starting December 20th, American Airlines will also double its flights to Miami from Belize. The double daily frequencies will run through August 2024.
Copa Airlines will add an additional flight for Belize. The new frequency, which is in addition to the current service on Fridays, between Panama City and Belize will operate during January 2024. The flight will feature a Boeing 737-700, with a capacity of 124 passengers, starting Tuesday, January 9, 2024, departing Panama at 3:10 pm (local time), and arriving in Belize at 4:29 pm (local time).
WestJet is extending its airlift service to Belize next year. Nonstop service from Calgary, Canada, to Belize has been extended for two additional weeks and will now end at the beginning of May 2024. Nonstop service from Toronto to Belize will also be extended by a month and run until May 25, 2024.
Southwest Airlines now offers a Saturday service to Denver. Southwest’s service to Houston also now operates daily.
