Belize City, Belize—March 7, 2025: The Orange Walk district marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of the Trial Farm Police Substation on March 6, 2025. This project is the result of a partnership between the Belize Tourism Board and Hon. Anthony Mahler, in collaboration with Hon. Kareem Musa and Hon. Ramon Cervantes. It aims to enhance public safety and strengthen law enforcement presence in the community.
Construction of the substation began in November 2024 and was completed on March 4, 2025. The facility features two holding cells, two office spaces, two bathrooms, and a main lobby area. It will serve as a vital hub for improving security and fostering community development.
“We believe that by investing in the necessary infrastructure in this part of the country, we will see significant growth in the tourism industry,” stated Hon. Anthony Mahler. He added, “We look forward to the continued collaboration and working with the residents of Trial Farm and other parts of the country to ensure that we have a tourism product everybody wants to experience.”
At the official ribbon-cutting ceremony, remarks were delivered by Hon. John Briceño, Prime Minister of Belize, Hon. Anthony Mahler, Hon. Ramon Cervantes, and Mr. Oscar Cornel, Chairman of Trial Farm Village.
Public safety and security remain the top priorities, and the new substation reassures both residents and visitors that Trial Farm is committed to protecting its people and fostering a safe environment for all.
