The Belize Tourism Board Hosts Boat International Media and Luxury Charter Managers and Brokers for Industry Development Round Table

Belize City Belize, April 27, 2023: The Belize Tourism Board (BTB) had the pleasure of hosting Boat International Media and their guests for an industry development session titled, “How to unleash the potential of Belize as a superyacht destination”. Representatives from nine (9) leading Luxury Yacht Charter Agencies were treated to a 4 day-itinerary between Placencia and Punta Gorda, which included lunch at a private island, a diving excursion, and a stunning river and sunset cruise.

The roundtable session which took place at the Itz’ana Resort & Residences, was attended by the Hon. Anthony Mahler, Minister of Tourism and Diaspora Relations, Mr. Mohit Budhrani, Chairman (BTB), Mr. Evan Tillett, Director of Tourism, Mrs. Nicole Solano, CEO of the Ministry of Tourism, members of the BTB Executive, and other industry stakeholders. 

The purpose of the visit was to promote Belize as a viable charter destination and to obtain valuable insight that will be incorporated into the overall strategy for Nautical Tourism in the National Sustainable Tourism Master Plan. Highlights of the experience can be viewed here.
