Belize City, Tuesday, Aug 28th, 2018: Belize’s tourism is unique and diverse. Its excellent cuisine is among many of its special features. As part of its support to our school education sector and our community, the BTB recently donated stoves, gas tanks and pantry stock to 11 schools and 3 non-profit organizations in Belize City.

The donations will assist the receiving institutions to strengthen and enhance their respective feeding programmes. The institutions receiving gas stoves and gas tanks included St. Mary’s Church, St. Joseph School, All Saints School, Trinity Methodist School, Divine Mercy Parish, St. Martin de Porres, Queen’s Square Anglican School, St. John’s Vianney RC School, Salvation Army School, Calvary Temple School and Wesley School.

Those receiving pantry stock included Dorothy Menzies Children’s Home, Sister Cecilia’s Home for the Elderly and the Salvation Army.

The items were presented by Mr. Herbert Haylock, BTB’s Director of Quality Assurance & Industry Standards, to the representatives of the respective institutions.
